Founded in 1829, Georgetown College is one of the oldest Baptist-affiliated colleges in America. The coeducational student body of about 1,400 comes primarily from Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana, but 31 states and 17 countries are represented. A more diverse campus – both racially and geographically – is due in part to the Bishop Scholars and First Tee Scholars and the Programs of Distinction – Equine Scholars and the new Global Scholars. The graduate program leading to the Master of Arts in Education is also booming.
